We will begin our motorcycle ride by riding out of Tokyo and heading toward the legendary Hakone Skyline, one of Japan’s most scenic mountain roads. As the city slowly fades behind us, the ride opens into smooth, flowing curves, elevation changes, and panoramic viewpoints.
We will dedicate the day to exploring the legendary Mount Fuji region, riding short scenic loops, and stopping at some of the most iconic viewpoints around Japan’s highest peak. The roads here are smooth, open, and relaxed, allowing us to fully enjoy the changing perspectives of Mount Fuji from lakeside reflections to forest-lined foothills.
We ride from the shadow of Mount Fuji into the heart of the Japanese Alps, heading toward the historic town of Takayama. This is a long and deeply rewarding riding day, featuring quiet countryside roads, river valleys, forested mountain passes, and traditional rural Japan.
We take a relaxed rest day in Takayama, allowing us to slow down and experience one of Japan’s best-preserved historic towns. Surrounded by alpine scenery, this day is ideal for gentle exploration on foot, optional short local rides, and cultural discovery. Takayama’s old streets, morning markets, and traditional architecture offer a deep insight into rural Japanese life, making this rest day both peaceful and enriching.
Leaving behind the mountain air of Takayama, we ride through valleys where time seems to slow down. Quiet roads guide us past traditional villages, rivers, and forests before the scenery gently shifts toward Kanazawa’s refined elegance.
On day 6, we will leave the elegance of Kanazawa behind and turn back toward the mountains, riding deep into the Japanese Alps once again. This route feels remote and raw, with long stretches of open road, mountain tunnels, and river-cut valleys guiding our way.
On our final riding day, we leave the alpine surroundings of Matsumoto and begin our journey back toward Tokyo. The road gradually descends from mountain terrain into wide valleys and open highways, offering a smooth and reflective ride to close the adventure.
